coupe or convertible ?

had enough of the Sl55,and its 6 months or so til my M6 turns up so fancy a 997s,question is drophead or coupe ?
Is there a noticeable difference in performance and handling ? I like the idea of the convertible but not if the things i like about porkers are afected.
Any advice ?

Flip a coin man! I'd go for a silver or white cab.

Gotta love this post!!!...a 997 is a "filler" car, till the M6 arrives in 6 months.

cab weighs about 200 lb more tan coupe and is 0.2 sec more to 60mph. cab has virtually identical performance.

i also find it interesting someone would prefer a M6 over 997. If you crave more preformance, get a 997S or TT and forget about the M6.

i say cab, spring is in the air.

anyone know about the official launch date of the m6. heard that the e60 m5 will be out sept/oct and think that they would give a few months leeway to keep m car demand up.

To answer your Q....get a cab with the hard top option.....best of both worlds.

200 pounds is a lot of weight, it will make a difference in how the car feels. However, if a few tenths of a second don't matter to you then the cab is the way to go.
