So I have a tough choice here... A 2008 C4S Targa with Automatic (with Sports Chrono) and only 6k miles v/s a 2009 C2S with PDK & Sports Chrono and 23k miles. The 2008 C4S is priced 7k more than the 2009 C2S. Given these choices, which one would be a better buy?

I keep hearing of IMS issues with pre-2009. Is this a valid concern? Any advice is appreciated!

 

This shouldn't be a tough choice at all. The pdk over tip tonic hands down. Also the upgraded electronics, higher hp rating, better fuel mileage, etc.

 

plus with 09 you get led tailights

That is a tough decision. I specifically wanted a 4S. If I were in the market I would have to have a 4S again and it would have to be an 09+. My advice would be to find another 09 that is a 4S. There should be plenty of them out there.

 

......after thinking about it a little more......I might have to go Turbo next go round!

isn't the Q a little bit about maybe a targa or a coupe as well as tip/pdk...i love targas, and the pdk is still a tip if you're not at the track, lets hearabout that,,,

 

Those are two different body styles. Initially I had thought I wanted a Targa, however it was the wide body that I was after for my first one. You also have a 3rd choice, wait until you can get the right one.

What body style are you after?

Definitely the 2009. Never buy a Tip.

 

I would definitely go with the PDK.
