I don't get it, why? They Have no mechanics and are just for aesthetics. My buddy is looking to get a new pair since his are fairly scratched up from a fender bender, but $400 bucks??

You should be able to get your tips powder coated locally quicker and probably cheaper than sending them off.

That's good to know. Unfortunately one of them are cracked and the other is just bend beyond repair. Anyone know where I can get a cheaper pair? Would be ok If they were used too. Already checked the classifieds.

Check eBay too. I've seen some posted there at really decent prices (OEM Porsche). If he's interested in the single base model look I saw those for under $100. Would look good powder coated black.

Here are the tips not installed and installed on my car. They are ceramic coated black. Look awesome on the car. They go well with my Silver & Black scheme I'm running.

Thanks! Tough to tell from the photos - are they somewhat glossy? Easy to clean?

Yes..they are somewhat glossy...and I would say easy to clean. Haven't had the need to clean the car...it's going to be raining soon...so may not wash the car anytime soon, but taking a towel over the tips they rub smooth.

I'm very pleased with the outcome and look.

Awesome! There are local powdercoaters I just found who do automotive stuff. I might check with them. Otherwise, I'll swap my cores for a set with Fister. I dislike the way the stock tips look... always dirty and don't really match anything else on the car.

Appreciate the info.
