I am excited to join this forum, I am a car enthusiast for a long time and my father finally picked up his "dream" car. Amazing what can be done with a little goal setting.
I look forward to enjoying seat time with him and the experience that Porsche will offer.
I am not a kid just looking to troll on a forum trying to be cool, I am looking for tips, pointers, tricks for the enjoyment and ownership of his Porsche.
I am that trusted advisor for him as he is too busy with work to do anything more than drive and enjoy. I hope to get him into a performance driving school too so that he can get a feel for the pedigree that the 997 offers.
"we" visited our local dealer Pfaff Porsche and thoroughly enjoyed our experience and picked up a slightly branused CPO 2009 White on black Carrera S with PDK, PASM, Sport Chrono, Bose, leather sport seats, mobile phone with bluetooth interface, heated heats and steering wheel. it has 38,000kms on it or 23,750 miles.
Here are some quick pics as I have not had time to venture to a scenic site.

Ed, those are marker lights, not turn signal lights. And by the way, your GT3 avatar appears to have orange ones too.

I think you meant why would they paint them red. But in any case, I think the brakes on the OP's car are regular S model steel brakes, not PCCBs, as the rotors look shiny.
They look yellow on my 'puter, however I am slightly color blind...but I looked again...they look yellow to me!!
Oh well...
