Road hazard +1. Always get it even though it's up to 10% of expensive tires. One claim and it's more than worth it.

So, I contacted Michelin and they told me to take my vehicle to Discount tire to have them measure the tread. I did and the guy at Discount Tire filed the claim for me through Michelin and they paid for the cost of the tire. I had to pay for the installation, but that is better than the cost of the tire plus installation. They also offered me road hazzard as well. If I were you, I would call Pirelli. The worst they can say is no.

Luckyp10,

Just read your thread. So similar. The only difference is that my tires are the original ones that came with the car and I didn't have the tire warranty from the stealer. When my tires need replacement, I'll definitely go to Discount Tire. Thx for the link.

it was something like $800 for 5 yrs coverage, had to keep the original wheels but covered what ever tire I had on the car. They also covered the wrecker that picked the car up and brought it back to the dealership.

Hind sight, that is a great deal. You already got your money back plus some. Too bad the original wheels have to remain. I still have the oem wheels but am thinking about changing it.
