Fahkin road hazzard!

Damn road hazzard I tell ya! Is it bad luck with me or are you guys getting pieces of crap on the road too? A while back, I pulled this piece out of my rear tire. Porsche won't patch it so now I am out about $500 for a new tire. Took me awhile to post, needed time to calm down. I think I should frame it.

Wheel is fine. Just killed a brand new tire with only 150 miles on it.

Well said. Your type of damage makes mine look pretty good. I assume you had to replace the wheel?

The only good thing out of this is that the tire was new and and you only need to replace one ( rather than two).. One other good note?..... that wheel weight ended up in your tire and not bouncing off of your hood!

Atomic is infamous around these parts
That is why I got the extended tire warranty from the dealership. replaced two rear tires already at no charge. They would have also replaced the wheels, if they got damaged also.

Depending on what type of tires you have, you can file a claim with the tire manufacturer. I was in the same predicament and Michelin paid the price to replace my tire for free.

Wish I had this. What did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? I will have to look into it.

Really!? Details please. The link says "page not found". I have Pirelli's P-zero so probably not gonna happen but would be an interesting read.

slick911,
First, I called TireRack.com to see if they could do anything since I just purchased my tires from them. They would only give me a 10% discount. They wouldn't even offer me road hazzard because the cost of the tire is to expensive.

So, I contacted Michelin and they told me to take my vehicle to Discount tire to have them measure the tread. I did and the guy at Discount Tire filed the claim for me through Michelin and they paid for the cost of the tire. I had to pay for the installation, but that is better than the cost of the tire plus installation. They also offered me road hazzard as well. If I were you, I would call Pirelli. The worst they can say is no.

Take out the space before and after 6speedonline.

Just had 4 Hankook's installed on my 4S. Got a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. Hope you don't use it....but worth it if you do. Got it through Big-O Tire and there are plenty around if something happens.
