20.8 with a 75/25 highway/city split.

This is exactly 1 mpg less than I was getting with my Cayman S.

Most of the folks don't observe the MPGd in p-Car (in my view, at least me don't observe). if you drive like Camry (set it to cruise) you will get good gas mileage. i witnessed that last week when i am doing 75mph relaxed on a stretch of 50 miles i got a impressive 28.5 MPG .

But normally this use case never arise when i drive it daily.

I get 20.5 MPG normally for mix of 75/25 highway/local commute. btw mine is daily driver and i dont use cruise at all, always on gas .

I average 36 on my 2000 Toyota Celica, I'm not really bothered by the MPG the 911 gets, two cars for two completely different purposes, usually don't start the Celica with the door open to hear the engine

When I drive like I don't care, around 18mpg. (80% city, 20% highway)
When I try to drive more efficiently, maybe 21mpg (all US Gallons)

Meaningless stat to compare since it depends so much on driver input. Driving harder however will get you there faster so you will save time. You might want to ask "how long does it take you to get wherever you are going in your Porsche"? Takes me 23 minutes.

My car is around down and canyon toy so like 18mpg on average. Did do a very late run to Santa Barbara wine county a couple months ago and set cruise at about 75 the entire trip and was getting about 28mpg. That surprised me.

Highway driving - 25
Track Driving - 10.8 (should drop to 9 now that I can run over 5000 rpm)

Thanks for all the info folks - I was just surprised at how many times I've had to fuel up since owning the car over the last 2.5 months so thought I'd check in to see what others have been experiencing - first Porsche, still getting to know her, but looks like everything is peachy based on other responses... thanks!

my last 2 fill ups were around 13.5 mpg. I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with my car... or if I just have a lead foot. it's probably 85% city / 15% highway.

The computer says 24-25 with highway driving @ 3000 rpm/ about 80 mph. Non highway driving 16 or so.

Yep, I get about 13mpg. Once my car is warmed up it's on! I have other cars to putt around in. My 911 is for hauling ***.

In a previously owned '08 C2S I got almost identical numbers (over a much longer period and a similar city/highway percentage). The really depressing thing was that mileage numbers for the track were around 10 mpg - not much different than non-track when I was trying to go light on the gas.

If I wanted high MPG I'd be driving a Hyundai, Honda, Prius, etc etc. I have a hard time driving in a passive mode so my mileage typically is close to 14 or so in stop/go and low/mid twenties when on the freeway/highway.

I've never tried to optimize my highway miles (ie. cruising at 55 or 60) so I have no idea what the best fuel consumption for my 997S is and really don't care.

I reset it every once in a while. Funny because when you first start from zero it will read like 28L per 100km and you freak out til it starts to average.
But I am averaging 11/12L per 100km on a C2S 3.8
Saw it go as low as 9.0 on s strait highway trip.
