It wouldn't make marketing sense to have a $25k product and then a ~$25k jump to get to the next level vehicle (Cayenne or Boxter). If Porsche wanted to have a lower priced offering, they may start at $39k, IMO.

So, would a $39k vehicle bother me? If it is a re-badged Volkswagen-- yes. If it is a unique Porsche engineered niche vehicle -- no.

 

Not at all. No AC, power windows, power seat, radio, sunroof, sound deadening, PSE, etc,...

Interesting question. The Macan was just announced and hinted that it will be priced in the $40ks, which makes no sense when a perfectly decent V6 Cayenne can be purchased under $50k.

 

it would separate those interested in personal image from those interesting in Porsche.
