On the rollers - well not quite

My C2S was strapped down on a 2WD dyno,
TCS was fully disengaged
The DME / ABS / ??? was not happy with the set up.
Seemingly didn't appreciate the front wheels not rotating,
In conclusion, PDK wouldn't allow you to select and hold 4 th gear, when you could tromp the loud pedal, the car raised onto the front roller and made some credible power,
a little scary really,
seeing your P - car lurching forward and sitting on the front roller all the way to redline.

HOw do you guys get accurate data from a rolling road ?
even a 4WD dyno will not seemingly work as the front wheels wouldn't be spinning either ?

Thanks in advance...

MOlar

The newer cars always will throw an ABS/TC fault light when on the dyno. Once pulled off and driven for a short period of time, the system will reset itself and be fine. Now, I've never felt with a PDK, just manual cars.

I was measuring AFR vs RPM due to having trouble logging with my durametric
I need my tune file adjusted to raise the AFR to about 12 a 12.1

Guys
How do you run the car up on the rollers and be able to hold 4th gear in a PDK without it wanting to kick down when giving it the full beans ???

I would imagine they have to use it in manual mode to hold 4th or 5th gear which ever is the 1:1 ratio. That is how it is done with a automatic transmission.

I would think manual mode is the only way to do what you want to do. Might make an interesting plot in Sport Plus

The problem with manual mode is it will still kick down and not simply hold 4 th gear as it would normally do on the road

Here's a link to someone that had their PDK car on a dyno. Maybe they can help with your problem. Vivid Racing and TPC also dyno PDK cars. Possibly you could contact them.
