Used 997 prices!
To the OP:
Central Florida: Tried to sell my 06 C2S, 25,000 miles, $8k in options, $8k in upgrades, new tires, all service records, as perfect as a 6-7 year old car can be, a few months ago. Could not get a sniff at $52k. Personally, and I've owned 3 P-cars, I would not put $33K into the car you are looking at.

Offered 37k for the 05 (kbb is right at 37)...seller said lowest he will take is 40...saw no reason to overpay on a base no options carrera by 10%...

Looks like prices are on an upswing - KBB is apparently not inline with what the market is commanding.
FYI - I just picked up my '09 997.2 C2 arctic silver - pretty well loaded up for $55k in Northern California. For me, it was worth it to get the DFI engine and pay a bit more. I also have almost a year left on the factory warranty. So, deals can be had, you just have to be a bit patient and hunt around.

I bought my 06 997s Convertible (silver with black top and interior) with 61K miles on it about six months ago (now 67k) for 39K in a private party sale. The IMO was previously replaced and it passed the PPI. I had higher mileage and needed to replace the front brakes four months in, so maybe it was not the greatest "deal" but I don't regret the purchase one bit. Love the car and use it most days as a daily driver.
