Ok wow, that was really nice. Is it fully compatible with all computers and such in the US? Mac compatible?
Dear people,
I just bought a new dashcam at MyCarcam (www.mycarcam.nl) and would like to tell that the IROAD IONE-3800 FU is awesome. The product is comparable to Blackvue and Ittronics and the quality is very good. I don't know if the product ships outside the Netherlands, but maybe you could check it on Ebay?

DR500GW-HD Example Clip
I just uploaded an example clip of a recently installed BlackVue DR500GW-HD (purchased on Amazon) on my 997, and captured a car performing a spinout some distance ahead of me on I405.
The cam is mounted to the left of the rear view mirror and is fairly hidden, but not as much as I'd like. I blacked out the chrome ring using black PlastiDip for additional discretion from outside the car.
All wires are hidden and I use the Power Magic pro to allow the camera to stay on while parked, while preventing the battery from draining too far down. I tucked the wires behind the clips that hold the roofliner, then routed the wire down from inside the A-pillar trim, down the fuse box area.
I was going to use my Contour for a dashcam, but the BlackVue is suited to hands-off automatic recording.
I like the camera's features:
Stuff that I don't necessarily like:

I like the camera's features:
- Records when parked and a shock is felt (shock adjustable)
- Able to view videos on my iPhone5 using wiFi. It acts as an accesspoint, no bluetooth.
- Adjustable settings to turn off LEDs, voice, wiFi.
- Records position, and G force sensors
- Fairly discrete from outside
- Can be rotated to capture driver and passenger
Stuff that I don't necessarily like:
- Kinda expensive- about $450
- Gets warm during normal operation. I turned off compression to try and reduce computation power
- No way to turn off the GPS light programatically
- Not as discrete from the inside. This big black cylinder near the rear view mirror is going to draw attention.
