GT3 Cup Car on Autobahn Germany
My friend went to Germany last year, rented a car, and, unbeknownst to him, was caught speeding on cameras in the town where he was staying. Several months later he got a letter in the mail here in the US and it was entirely in German. He had no idea what it said and had to find someone to translate it for him. It turned out to be a letter telling him he owed money for the speeding violations. I wonder if the driver of the Cup car will be getting a letter in the mail in the future?
I suspect the owner has already gotten his letter, and it wasn't for just one violation. The Polizei don't have sense of humor, never have, never will.
That looked like a very uncomfortable ride just by the way the engine bucks and whines as it tries to drive at city (50kph) speeds.
What was with not making that left turn? (and holding up traffic)?
Is bouncing off the rev limiter (if thats what I was hearing) the normal way to drive these things?
Driving off with the door not closed... not a responsible thing to do.

On a positive note, I did do some sustained sprints at 130 MPH once I got into Germany. Whoohoo.

. With wire fees and processing, it was over $200 USD. I considered tossing it in the trash, but given how interconnected Europe is, I read online that if the ticket had not been paid I might be required to pay it or face being turned away at customs the next time I tried to enter the EU.
Unless you plan on never entering Europe again, pay the piper for your indiscretion.
