What cars have you raced with your 997 and didn't expect to win?
GTRs are fast and cheaper than the model they are built to fight (997 Turbo), but I would always rather have a 997 Turbo over a GTR. I have neither, and have driven neither, but the biggest problem I have with the GTR is that it in no way looks "exotic" to me, despite its exotic level performance. Doesn't help that it's too damn big for my tastes.

In no way a GTR would get more attention then a Porsche or Ferrari. Most "regular"people think it a Sentra S. It might be a great value, but lets be real, its a sleeper car. I actually had a chance to drive a Ferrari this weekend (I already made few posts about my experience) and the car gets so much attention that after few hours I really felt uncomfortable (comments, waves, pictures, etc) I highly doubt that would happen in a GTR.
Getting back to OP question, I expect to beat everyone but I race no one

None. I have nothing to prove. Anyone coming up on me fast is obviously trying to get a better look at the car. Why would I speed away and deny them the opportunity?

That video is always funny.
On topic: Just for fun did a highway run on a roll with a buddy with a GT-R. My C2S is pretty much stock except for AWE cats and an intake. I expected to lose and it wasn't pretty.
To address a a different discussion in this thread:
I happen to like the look of my car but it's invisible compared to the attention a GT-R happens to attract - at least in the Seattle area.

In terms of the GTR....I have driven it as some of my friends have one. The interior of my GTS feels more "high end" than the GTR. I don't get alot of "what car is that?" or "is that the new Altima?" as my friends experience. I was considering it prior to my GTS because of the performance you get for the price but, I went with my Porsche because i don't feel quite comfortable spending over 100k on a Nissan (it's not a knock on Nissan, they make amazing cars. This comment is only my perspective) and the fact that a Porsche has been my dream car ever since I was 15. I also feel that I own part of it's history.
Did I spend more than a GTR for less power by buying my GTS?...absolutely! Will i change anything on my decision?....absolutely not!

I certainly agree with you, especially judging from the intensity of criticism directed against anyone who professes a preference for the GTR. If you value incredible power and performance above all else as I do, then you can understand why some love the GTR. Make no mistake: the Porsche is far superior as a daily driver and I always prefer taking it on road trips. But goodness, my GTR is a thrill to track and drive at speed.

So true. Experienced the track first hand this weekend. I dont think I will be so into street racing anymore.
