Looks similar to a 911. Anyone with half a brain would go with a 911 over a Panamera Coupe ..

Well, I have had too many 911 already.

I am actually looking forward to this 2 door Panamera in cab form - the new 928.

 

Plus the panamera doesn't look right, it's an ugly car.

The people that presently choose a very old 20k (maybe 10k on average) car now are rushing to get into a 100K+ motor? I shall be surprised if they do.

Sort of odd since it's basically going to be a 911 ? A 2 door coupe but front engine layout.

 

That's what the 928 was. So Porsche had a market for this layout. I guess it would be targeted to the the Panamera customer who wants a more "swoopy" profile, interior space, and usable back seats. I don't think this competes with the 911 at all. It probably wouldn't cost much more than a Panamera to manufacture, so if it opens up a sales niche for Porsche, I say go for it.
