Interior Color Match Touch-Up Paint
Interior Color Match Touch-Up Paint
Home Depot will mix a bottle of custom color matched paint that you can use for interior touch-ups. It costs about $3.15 for a 7.25 oz "sample" bottle.
I got the idea from the Cayman forums: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-up-paint.html
To do the match you will need to take a small interior part, that is at least the size of a quarter, to the store. The ashtray cover may be easily removable and might work, or perhaps someone can suggest a more suitable interior trim part?
After they match the color, remember to ask them to write the code down for you (since I don't see it written on the bottle).
Please post your Home Depot Color Code in this thread, so other members can reference it in the future...
Sand Beige Home Depot Color Code: 697912143052
(They used Behr Premium Plus Ultra Flat as the base. The Behr specific information on my bottle is CLRNT: 384th; CL: 134; EL: 5; IL 63; KXL: 133)

PSPorsche - Thanks for posting the info.
I just got back from Home Depot with my $3 sample of sand beige. It is a perfect match!
The HD paint guy first thought that the codes were outdated and wasn't expecting it to work, but he typed the 6979... number into the computer and it found that order.
Here's the new order # from my sample: 265112171132
And here are the custom color match codes:
Behr Ultra Base: UL203
CLRNT: 384th; CL: 134; EL: 5; IL: 63; KXL: 134 (only the last digit is different from the coloring codes posted by PSPORSCHE)

Glad it worked out for you! The color does match quite well, but I was wondering if I could have gotten it in a satin finish, (rather than flat) since the interior pieces seem to have a little bit of a sheen to them.
Thx
I had some interior areas that needed a touch up. I took the advice on this post and went to the local Home Depot. They used a small sample container of paint. It costs about $3. I took my ashtray and they were able to color match the paint perfectly. They used Behr Ultra Flat Base UL203. My interior is "sea blue". The Home Depot color code for sea blue is 80812137318. I have touched up the areas that needed it and it looks perfect. Thanks for the tip!

anyway, heading to home depot to do exactly what you guys have outline here. Love this forum!
Try to get a satin finish if you can, which I think will match the finish of the Porsche plastic coating better. Also, when you paint, only paint the black exposed parts; try to fill it in, let it dry, and come back to fill it in again to "build it up." (Kind of like the way you would "build up" bumper rock chips.) Don't fall into the temptation of painting over, or blending it with, the soft-touch plastic that has not rubbed off; if you do, it will come out "lumpy."
