I am bored with my 06 c2s cab

I have had my dream car for 3 months and find myself annoyed with little Problems since I bought my car and now it seems the initial wow factor is wearing off. I think that I made a mistake and should have bought a different car for northern california year round driving. Oh well. NOt to be a downer on a great forum and I love Porsches but I think nice cars are not my style. I prefer to drive a car year round and not worry about the occasional door ding

I drive mine year round when it's clear. I never worry about anything. I do however park away from other cars when possible. Buy magnetic door strips to protect the doors when parked and drive baby drive.

I'm on my 6th Porsche and my 4th 911 and live in NJ and drive mine all year snow and all. I'd never drive anything else.

All I can say is (and I have no frame of reference for this either) if you're not enjoying the ownership experience then she's the wrong car for you.

You got the wrong car! I loved my 911 since day 1 and loved it even better everytime I drove it. It transmits certain unique sensations to the driver that I cannot explain. I have a 75 mile commute to work everyday and always glad to add mileage to the car.

No, I don't own them. I (read back) don't worry about it. Check on line. It's just a car so there's nothing to worry about.

Clearly it's time to move on to a different brand.
I'm curious to see what you will buy to replace the Porsche.
If Porsche doesn't move you after only 3 months (can't understand that after 20 yrs) there are a lot of worry/maintenance free cars out there.
Let us know your choice.

I got those magnetic door things after I saw an ad for them in the panorama magazine. Ive only used them a couple times, when I'm forced to park In a tight spot, and I've had them for probably 6 months.

Sorry to hear this. Sports cars are not for everyone.
Don't worry about door dings....just drive it. It's only a car.
Are you seeking advice or you just commenting?

Sell it and move on. Life is short. Find something else and give it a spin. As some say, it's just a car. I think it's funny when some say they don't care. They really do. It's just cooler to say you don't. We are all about being cool. I mean we are driving 911's aren't we! I know I'm cool.

Just curious, what are the "little" problems you've encountered?

It is not going to be a collectors item. It is a CAR. Get out and drive it!! The first door ding and rock chip are the hardest. Once you get past that your life will be much better.

I drive my car daily. It goes to Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, and the grocery store just fine. Do I try to park where it won't get beat up? Sure I try but I don't get that choice.

A used Honda Civic with door dings already. Use that as your daily beater and it should relieve your mind. Otherwise, any other car could still hurt if you got door dings.
