Cayenne Hybrid vs Targa 4S

Took my Targa for its 60k mile check up and was given a Hybrid S as a loaner. Feel like I been getting more looks/conversation in the SUV then in the coupe.

Is it because Americans love their SUVs and bigger is better?

The Cayenne rides real nice and like that it is a hybrid, but i would buy that for my wife only. Hard to see myself daily driving such a behemoth.

One guy at the gas stating told me that he likes the Cayenne and would love to have one because how nice the Porsche interiors are. I told him get behind the wheel of a 911 and realize how its more about the engines really.

Have you had a similar experience?

I was given a Cayenne Hybrid as a loaner, and after driving that, i want that in my life as a daily driver. Smooth, quick, love the supercharger sound, loved the fuel economy.
I am defeinitely getting one for a daily.
And i definitely got tons of looks in that SUV.

I took my car in for service on a Wednesday and they were backed up with work and let me have it for a very long weekend. The one I had matched the interior/exterior colors of my Carrera (Black/Tan). I LOVED IT. The performance was amazing. I'm going to wait and pick up a CPO model after the first of the year especially after the Carrera gets a TPC turbo. Same here with the looks from others.

Had a Cayenne one as a loaner and I could see myself getting one as DD. But nothing beats driving my 911

My wife drives a really nice 08 Cayenne S - white with 21" wheels and black interior. The V8 is super strong and the suspension is perfect. I get comments at the gas station and other stops all the time. More along the lines of "That's a Porsche...wow" and they always want to check out the interior. They are always surprised how nice it is. My 911 gets more simple compliments like "nice car man."

My wife drives the Hybrid, the only hybrid badging is on the fenders and people are always surprised that Porsche makes a hybrid SUV. The highway milage is great, but the wish the gas peddle was more responsive.

My wife loved the hybrid. Wants a CPO one now. Previously she was all about the Q5. We just wished that Hybrids actually came in the 30+ mpg fuel range.
