PCM 3.0 new option for Bluetooth Audio

This device is in the works and looking for funding. It would be beneficial to Porsche owners with PCM 3.0 that are looking to stream audio from your Iphone or ipod through bluetooth. Check it out:

The only problem with this set up is that you can't control your music through the PCM controls since it is an aux in type connection. With the pear, it would function just as if your ipod/iphone was connected in the glove compartment.

The BT A2DP protocol allows for different codecs and thus bitrates up to a max level that can produce very decent audio. These are manufacturer selectable and may or may not be what you want. Even then, the device should allow you to select the bitrate (like hi/low or hi/med/low) but some don't. If you are listening to podcasts or sports or other mono like streams you will likely always be happy. If you are streaming music you may or may not be happy. I (very briefly) tried the function in the PCM 3.1 and was much happier with the direct ipod connection (all music, all 320kbps encodes). luckyp10 makes a very good point that unless you have your device set to shuffle or walk down a playlist once you engage the BT function the control sits on your phone or whatever device you are streaming from and not the PCM.
