is it just me?

has anyone ever heard of this? i have stock 997.1S with sport chrono, pasm, got eibach lowering springs and they are taller than stock springs...there is one more coil to the spring as well, the rears anyway, we install one rear, lower the car and it is maybe 30mm higher...rock and rolled the car, tapped the brakes, all that stuff, the guy helping me, i should say the porsche mechanic from PZ Koln whom i am helping is scratching his head at this point, me too, now after numerous calls with the vendor and eibach troubleshooting team, no really, thats what they call themselves, everyone is scratching someones head...all the part #'s are right for the 2S, seems to me these are springs for a heavier 4 or turbo maybe, just wanted to share this and see if anyone else has ever run into anything similar, and haven't even started with the fronts yet......

thanks for asking, and no, not yet, i have been talking to the troubleshooters at eibach, sent them pics, the fahrzeugschein, which gives them the specs for the car thru the vin, and they see from the pics of my suspension and the vin that it is original, stock, they will have one of their engineers consult tomorrow and the guy is cool about it and wants to find out what's going on and make it right...more to come...

Is it possible your suspension had already been lowered?

well,, i have measured mine and a few others at my local PZ and we are all about the same @365/385mm fr/rear and the PZ mech has confirmed that the susp is original, so i guess it hasn't, and looking at it, it has the wheel gap that started me on this...quest?

Is it possible that the wrong springs were put into the box at Eibach? Or maybe there were stamped incorrectly at the time of manufacture? I would ask them to send you new ones and see how they match up.

Good luck!

Supeermen GT3 is infamous around these parts
Wouldn't you have a real case to complain with PayPal since you bought something and got something completely different delivered there? Just saying. Worth to take a chance and try to check it out.
