camber bushing plate blew out

So haven't wrote in awhile but most of you know my car is slammed. Well my car is an 06 and i guess they had been worn out and the OEM blew out and i was riding free!! so i replaced it and they told me to replace both but didn't and then the other went out so i just got billet ones. Had them installed today.

The feel is kinda weird like a race car. The steering wheel just kinda goes off. I guess this is cause the plate stop them from cambering out when turning?? Well its kinda fun but here are some pics of the busted one and the new red billet ones.

I had the Tarett plates on my 09 CS2. They make good products and have great service.

yes they are great people to deal with and FVD is amazing to. FVD told me to go look at their camber plate cause it was cheaper and great too. Did you feel something different in the steering wheel? Kinda feels like there is a little play with it now. I don't know if thats normal or not. Thanks

I didn't notice any play in the wheel after adding the camber plates.

man, I told you several times - those cars cannot be 'slammed' like this - suspension runs out of travel and control arms are not in the proper positions.

if you would be on the track with this failure we now would read about your funeral. whoever who did setup your car like this was an imbecile.

Ideal setup requires LCAs to be parallel to the ground, and rear toe arms parallel to rear LCAs.

you can slam car a bit, but not lower then about of 100mm in front, and rake (diff between rear and front) should be set to about of 20mm.

to simplify this - to have about of 1/2 inch between top of the front tire to the edge of fender is lowest you can do, better be with an inch or so, and in rear it has to be from 1/2 to 1 inch higher.

lowering car more requires bump steer toe arms in rear, bump steer tie rod ends in the front. LCAs cannot be altered, so, more work is needed or uprights should be replaced.

when suspension runs out of travel no matter what you have there in top - tarett plates or stock mounts, nothing will survive a full hit from 3000lbs car on a bump. those mounts are all very small. you will kill yourself and your passenger and will be liable for this.

Take a look at a GTS with Sport PASM and one without. It's a small difference, maybe 1/2", but it makes for a nice look. It's also manageable on the street.

Bilstein does make a set of shorter struts which may help if you want to go lower. But you will still need to address suspension geometry as noted.
