what do our brothers think? isnt 8.5 rims too wide for 235 tires. the tires will fit for sure but i am more thinking how the sidewalls will look. 235 on 8 looks just right. maybe 245 on 8.5. my opinion is the sidewalls should be vertical to the road surface. if its slanting in any direction its either on too wide a rim or too narrow.

no, it is not too wide for 8.5.
it all depends of what is available. match diameters, you want to do 235fromt with 275 to 295 in rear and if you put 245 in front it usually pairs well with 305 in rear.

brother utkinpol, have you tried the 245/305 combination? how does it affect the overall feel of the car. does it give it more confidence or is it just wasted money on wider tires. does it give any benefit to ride assuming the profile is not changed. maybe we should start a new thread for this one.

07-09 Turbo's come stock with 235/35/19's on 8.5 rims. Shouldn't be an issue.
