33 Years in the making!
Well I finally did it I have my first P car it has taken 33 years to get to this point….. The experience has been very trying to say the least, it took me 6 months to find a car, and this car was not even on my radar, I have my wife to thank for forcing me to take a more open approach to this purchase. I bought a CPO BLK/BLK TIP 2008 C4S CAB with 17,800 miles on the clock!!! My original search was for a BLK 09CS, OR BLK 09C4S hardtop full leather, sport chrono, pse,PDK. Never found either one found the 08. I was hesitant because I wanted a stick in anything older than 09… The Porsche Exchange in Highland Park got me out of that thought process quick… See I was driving a 2006 M3 CAB with SMG… lots of fun but not a Porsche, also I had no expectation of my first Porsche being a CAB…. So when this car came in they insisted that I drive it with the top down and in sport mode! BAM! Home it came I just couldn’t be happier……… Well that was until 9/28 and my check engine light came on L……I can’t believe how incredibly sad/bitter I am about this….but I am hope full its nothing crazy

function12 thanks for the gas cap tip you know in my state of shock i know this is a common fix to check engine lights because it happens to my wifes Range Rover all the time.... I tell you Im like a new parent with this p-car!! Cerbomark yes the car is cpo and pics (from the iphone I know ) are going up now....
The stress will go away once your baby is fixed. I hate to tell you this is doesn't get any easier as time goes by. The good news is it like Christmas morning everytime you get behind the wheel.
Smile!!! You beat me by 5 years!

Congratulations. It took 25 years for me. But the wait was well worth it. I think if I would have gotten it any younger it would have been wasted on me.
Just a side note - I really, really struggled with a cab versus a coupe. I really wanted a black cab like yours (6spd) but the occupy movement was hot at the time, and here in Michigan people were out of jobs. I might as well have a big decal say "I'm the 1%" on the car to inflame those haters. So I went with a silver coupe...less conspicuous.

I am sure it was worth the wait.
Congrats on a beautiful black c4s !
love the wide rear..
To-do list:
1- polish & wax
looks like, in those pics, the car can use some TLC on the paint.
black is most time-consuming, yet most rewarding, car to keep clean.

biglittle, the good news is these are incredible cars with many different systems to enhance the driving experience. The bad news is that these are incredible cars with many different systems to enhance the driving experience! All joking aside, my 2005 has been trouble free, so I'm crossing my fingers for you.
