Trunk and FOB

This may sound dumb but my trunk is constantly opened inadvertently by me. I am sure it due to my keys in my pocket. To open the trunk only 1 button push is required on the FOB - this happen to anyone else? Any fix?

Happened to me all the time. Even with the Smart Top Remote Key delay it would still occur reasonably frequently. Taking off the Porsche key fob helped the most. Don't squat around your car, too.

You have to keep key in hand until you are way out of range, otherwise you will just unlock trunk as you walkway.

Happened to me for about a month before I figured it out.

You would think it would be easy to make it so a double click is required.

There is a simple DIY "fix" to decrease the sensitivity of the button - search.

Yeah, search Key Hack, I believe there is a complete DYI in the 997 Turbo/GT2 forum if you can't find it here. Did it to my key, have never had an issue since.

I have searched for the Key Hack, and haven't found what you are discussing. I am very interested. My remote seems very sensitive.

Awsesome! Removing the buttons in the FOB, do they just pry up with a jewelers screwdriver? Then snap back in? Will try this mod this weekend for sure!

Just open the key in the middle, you could realistically do it with your fingers. Then just press on the buttons and they'll start to pop out. 2 minutes to change.
