Oil change - before or after storage

Hi, up in Canada, thus will store her for the winter around nov 5th. I drive around 2000 miles per year. Car has 51k km.
Should I change oil before storage or in April 2013.

Thanks for your input/ suggestions.

I always change before storage. Any acids or other bad stuff that the additives did not neutralized will be gone and not work while in storage. I put it in storage after a complete warm up to full oil temp. Once I put my car away I never start it during storage so as not to create anything bad without a complete warmup.

+1, Same here, I don't store my cars in the winter anymore, Colorado has a lot of sunny days in the winter but when I did. I changed it before storing it for the winter. Fill it with a full tank of gas, inflate the tires, wax, hook it to a batter tender, and cover it with a car cover.

Before makes sense. Don't forget the gas stabilizer.

+1 on the battery tender! My mechanic recommended changing the oil at the end of the season (fall) too.

LN Engineering says to do it before storing the car for the reason stated above.
