If you had 6,000+ miles I would say definitely changed, however in the absence of damage I would not change the fronts. MHO

I have 11,500 miles, one DE, and have plenty of tread left in the rear.

 

I ended up getting 4 new ones because my old fronts are not N1 whereas the new rears are!!

 

msindi, on awd cars, check the tread on the fronts. The manual should state how much variance can be allowed for wear.

For the 997, I have a set of conti's in 20" fitment and I'm turning 9000 miles on the odo. I have had one track event, several hi-speed drives, and still seem to have plenty of life left in them.

I'm guessing 15k out of these tires.
