Ian c2 is infamous around these parts
I have one as a daily now.
Its just got through its first week on a construction site.
apart from needing a good detailing it's performed as expected.

My only problem is with the audio .....
it works fine going to work but after 10 hours in the heat of the parking lot I have to drive home in silence

The pdk gearbox is perfect for my needs.

I have sport pasm and the gt2 carbon seats too.
comfort isn't an issue but the empty passenger seat has an annoying rattle made unbearable by the non-working audio ......

I've never had the audio not work in mine. Something is going on there.

For the rattle, a couple members have talked about a rattle they thought was in the car on the passenger side, that turned out to be a loose coolant hose behind the wheel well. Search for rattle and see if you can find it.

I had a rattle in my Land Cruiser that drove me nuts and I couldn't find. It turned out that the bolts on the door hinges needed to be tightened. Man was that an easy fix!

Thanks for the tip.
Im going to look at it today.
I got a got my car from an opc an hour and half away so driving it back is a last resort.
it had one rattle that was the seat recline pull on the back of the seat but I managed to fix that one by pulling it out and pushing it back in a few times
The other rattle appears to be coming from the front underside of the seat.

As for the audio ...
If I leave it on usb overnight that comes on automatically in the morning when I first turn on.
Same with cd.
but I cannot change tracks other than using the < or > buttons.
I can go through the artist and albums folders but when it gets to track titles I cannot play a track. Only highlight it.

The 997 is a great daily driver and will make your drive much more enjoyable in my opinion. How many miles are you going to be putting on a week ?
I would also consider some Euro Clear Side Markers.

Here's a photo I took yesterday of my daily driver. I feel pretty good cruising around in my 911, because it looks great and is fun!

I think one of the downfalls of the 997 as a daily is the tiny gas tank.

If you drive a lot of city, good luck getting 220 miles to that tank.

I drive 110 miles of freeway daily and it was really tough getting 280 miles on the tank.

Other then that, the car is just an absolute blast to drive. Rear tires are an issue too since they only last between 8-12k.

Yeah. You need to get some on that blue car

I started buying mine from online pictures and clears and rear spacers were going to be my first mods.
Luckily by the time I first saw the car in person the dealer had already fitted clears.

That picture is slightly older than this one. The euro clears really made it look 2000% better. Get a set!
