Fun times for this weekend... 84mm Plenum and Throttle Body

Got my 84mm X51 TB from Suncoast and the "Competition" 84mm Plenum from Nello. (maxspeed motorsports)
This makes my X51 Carbon Airbox more of a plug and play and seamless without the use of any adapters.

Any increased benefit in performance is just a plain bonus!

I will update this thread after saturday with install/impressions

Install is a piece of cake. Just make sure the rubber boots on either side of the plenum are centered properly without any gaps when you tighten their clamps. If there are any gaps and the fit isn't flush, the car will run rough and you'll trip the CEL.

What was the cost of this kit ?

$260 for the Throttle body and $599 for the plenum. can't beat those prices!

A pic of the inside of the plenum would be nice. I'm curious to know if it helps channel the air, or is it a hollow cylinder?

Looks Awesome!
Why did you choose the Maxspeed-Motorsports plenum over the IBD plenum?

IPD are rough cast and not finished internally based on every photo I've seen on their website. For their prices I would expect an internally finished product.

I wonder if anyone actually compared the air flow on a flow bench?
Airflow is tricky sometimes minor changes is shape can have a considerable change in air flow.

The inside finish is really polished up and the "V" looks like an improvement over the flat "T" plastic original one. My decision was based on trying to avoid machining out the IDP competition to 84mm from 82mm; and being a true plug and play procedure. (plus the price!) I'm not really looking for any performance gains, just to clean up the install... but anything will be welcomed!
