crazy idea- fitting 996 Prior Design Rear Bumper on my 997.

Random ridiculous idea....So i sold my 996 a week after i ordered the beautiful prior design rear bumper, so now i have this bumper just sitting here, the thing is amazing, there is a pic below of when i got it fitted onto the car.

I wonder if with some minor mods and cuts i can fit that bumper onto the 997 S i just got? i know where the tail lights go would need to be cut out + the bumper shortened from the top... this rear bumper would look Sick on the 997, i'm going to the body shop where my prior design rear has been sitting for 2 weeks to see if this is a possibility....

pic of it on my 996 when i was getting it fitted

For the cost to hack it up to fit, you could buy a new bumper. Sell the prior bumper in the classifieds and get a bumper made for your 997.

I didn't find any bumpers I like for the 997, only the GT3 tek one, but I've noticed on some people's cars it looks weired from the back, looks like a skirt or something , it's too wide covers the profile of the rear wheels + it's not long enough, I want something that makes it appear lower to the ground

You would be better off selling it and buying the prior 997 bumper.

mikegr is infamous around these parts
The 997S is wider than 996 basic model at least one inch. I suspect the mounts also will be different

ya, seems that way, what a loss that bumper is so sick! even prior design themselves dont make another bumper that looks as good...except the Gt3 crazy transformation kit that costs $23,000

It looks okay, but I'm not in love with it. Personal taste, I guess.
