Is that video showing old emblems being restored or re-manufactured? or is that how every modern day emblem is made? If that's the case, it's pretty nuts that they go through all that trouble.

I would surmise that it's only the older ones...with the number of Cayennes and Panameras added to the volume, I really doubt they are all hand made. But maybe they are?

Not nuts at all. Glass encrusted emblems are made similar to broaches and any other hand-laid, high-quality "jewelry". Quality costs and cheap gets you... cheap. They probably don't do this at the Hyundai factory.

Badges for Police, Fireman, etc..are all made the same way. Saw it on How it's Made. Probalby why they hold up so wll to the elements.
