997 DRL LED / REAR LED Lowest Price Check

Been watching the prices fall on the front DRL / REAR LED for the 997 -- what have you picked them up for recently?

Quick search shows fronts available for $380 (free shipping on ebay)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/05-08-Porsch...0d60dc&vxp=mtr

and rears for $550 (Believe ROTEC lookalikes)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EURO-RED-CLE...a2356a&vxp=mtr

Any recommendations on a better deal? Any vendors have any specials for a package (front and back)?

Looking to hear on recent purchases and prices paid!

Front - How do you make them daytime running lights? Is it possible to make them automatic or do you manually have to turn them on? They look sharp. I wonder how the quality is!

There are modules available that you can buy that will give you that functionality. I believe dectane makes one (dectane DRL module), there might be others as well as a DIY option. It will light up as long as car is on automatically with no other lights running. I know there were threads I came across on the forums here that covered this step by step.

I saw those taillights too but I am concerned how they will fit. Anyone have thoughts on this?

How do the Maxspeed ones fit?

I would spend the extra few bucks and get rottec you know atleast it will fit right it wont have moisture build up or anything. Why deal with the headache of the cheaper ones. I orderd mine from rottec. I had a pair of led tails i got from a 6speed member that were from japan or hongkong they fit right but it got moisture build up and error code issues.

MaxSpeed tails were an easy 20 minute install with a Philips screwdriver. No error codes.
Fit is great & they're very bright. I left the fronts because I actually like lenses better but I did change all the marker lights & interior lights with the LED kit that they sell. Updated look is awesome.

DO NOT buy from RotTec. Their customer service is terrible.
They do not stand behind their product.

One of my rear lights had a few LEDs go after 2 years. The best they would offer me was full retail price plus shipping for a replacement.

I'm taking my business somewhere else.

Do yourself a favor and skip right past Ray and Rottec.

Looks good. Are the fronts just LED strips like you see at general auto parts houses?

Those Depo lights sure do look good when they are not lit up.
It's when the brakes are applied that I can't stand them.

I really like that look. You still maintain the stock fog/turn signal lights.
Where did you purchase the DRL LEDs that you modified?

Hi, just like the famous Quote "I can't find a car I like, so I decided to build my own car"

Same thing here, I try to look around for a LED DRL, either I find one, but it is too pricey like the Techart LED DRL ! or the aftermarket LED DRL, too dumb looking.
So I decided to look for something unique, I like the Benz style long strip LED DRL, But there is no available as the angle is different !

I take the front bumper apart, to install the grille ! and it happens that I can cut off the Benz LED DRL grille & just keep the chrome drl strip, But the fitting is a challenge, as I need to adjust drl to the right angle & inforce with metal strip at the back.
