So what would you do?
Dadz911...I am not too concerned about your buying habits, but if you really want to get into the right PCar for you, you should be looking into what you want, not what is being offered to you.
Here are the big choices when buying a 911 (at least in my book):
Biggest is 2wd vs. 4wd. Which do you prefer? 4wd gets you a wide body which almost everybody will agree is better looking, but many don't like the extra weight up front. It makes the front end seem heavier and less responsive. Of course in bad weather...4wd is valuable and some feel it gives better pull out of the corners.
Next up is turbo vs. NA. The turbo gives huge advantage in HP and torque, but you have to deal with some amount of lag and you are locked into 4wd (unless you are ready to pay up for a GT-2). Turbos are also best for people who like to mod their cars.
After that it is coupe vs. cab...cab is nice, but you lose out on structural rigidity. Even with beefed up under-body, you can't beat a cage for strength.
Anyhow...based on your history, it sounds like you need to drive a few cars and decide what you like. The C4S sounds like a great deal, but would you lose the driving characteristics that you are enjoying in the base C2? Your call...

to the OPer. I can imagine you put a lot of time looking, buying and selling? I would guess this activity will settle down with age. I don t know the OPer but if he enjoys this type of activity, God Bless. As one who has also gone thru more than an average number of cars myself, I am hoping the 911 will cure that itch. Post some pics of what you just got too, we all like pics!
