If I'm reading this correctly, azqureshi isn't have any problems with his belt and pulleys now. They were replaced over a month ago and they are functioning like new. BUT, he just came across pieces of the old belt stuck in his alternator. It's dissapointing that the technician didn't notice that when he replaced the belts and pulleys.

That would make me think a pulley seized and was burning the rubber, not unlike smoking your tires. I had a work Van pulley seize a while back, and there were little chunks of rubber all over the engine bay.
