Fastest way to tell if you have sport PASM... cross any speed bump or driveway. If you hear a "crunch" then you have sport

To the poster who says that the sport PASM is still way too high, where do you live? I'm in the SF bay area and I am constantly crunching my front end. Any lower and I'd be buying new front spoilers every month.

Driving 'low' is an aquired talent but I'll admit there's some places you just need to come in a different way.
Where am I?.....well funny you shoud ask SanFran.....I'm in the Berkley of the MidWest, Madison, WI.
This C4S (wife's) has Damptronic suspension adjusted around 20mm down from PASM (already supposedly 10mm down). I have other cars that are lower and yes occaisionally scrape but really, not often.

Right now the one below is outfitted with winter fitments and HT. I'll admit, once or twice a year ground clearance is an issue......snow.

Interesting. I recently bought a used 2005 c2s with sports chrono, and it has both pasm and sports buttons on the dash. I was starting to wonder if the previous owner lowered it as well, as it looks a fair bit lower than most stock height 997s I see. This means I have and lsd as well? Awesome.

edit: According to this (http://www.excellence-mag.com/issues...y#.UOYJeWbTlaQ) sport PASM wasn't an option until 2009.

I don't know of another way, other than have a dealer run your VIN for options. I have SPASM on my GTS, and to me the extra lowering is obvious, even for just 10 mm. Some LSD's require different lubricant than a non LSD, so you might be able to look under the car and see if there is any coding or warning statement on the differential. That is just a long shot, and I have no idea if it will give you any insight.

I think the option code for SPASM is 030, but not positive. I just looked at the window sticker on my 2012 GTS and it just lists the option as sports suspension, no option code given that I see. The Porsche configurator for a GTS 4 list the option code for SPASM as 030.

Looks like you don't have it, sorry.

Thanx for the info. I'm trying to order a set of H&R lowering spring and on the website it says that it isn't compatible with cars with sport suspension. I guess I'm good to go.
