Gundo Hack in Central Florida

I'd love to hear one in person before I cross the point of no return with my stock mufflers. Anyone local I can meet up with?

Are there any recommended local hack experts....besides German Excellence (not that there is anything wrong with them.) I don't want some hack hacker hacking away at my beautiful baby.

I will be at the roar before the 24 at Daytona tomorrow, so any fellow PCAers with a gundo/fister, hit me up. We will also be at the Rolex 24 later this month.

So I've decided to take the plunge despite being unable to hear a GH in person. I visited a local muffler specialist that had done some SS welding for my old 87 targas exhaust. They didnt have any SS tubing, only mild steel, so I ordered 2 feet of SS 1 3/4 pipes from the bay, and was all ready to go until I called to finalize the appointment today. The muffler shop owner said he wasn't sure how hard it was to remove and install and may have to increase the price by up to another 165 for removal and re install. That seemed outrageous. My impression was that removal was a 30 minute job max, but his book was quoting 2.3 hours.

I installed the muffler on my old targa myself a few times, so how hard could this be? I searched around the forum, but couldn't manage to find a good thread on installation. If anyone has a pointer let me know, I am going to give it a shot tomorrow and see if I can get them off. There was one thread that mentioned taking the whole bracket off and not the big verticle bolts, so I will give that a try.

to remove the mufflers you need to take out 3 screws from the bracket and the sleeve from the cats.
btw, I'm selling my fisters mufflers for $400 if you are interested...
