Questions I should be asking
Yeah would be hard to get anyone to talk to me if I rolled up in the cavalier. Just to fill in the image its kinda of white except bumpers which are grey and then every single panel including the roof has some damage on it it is debadged though (they fell off). But all it has to do is get me to the T station and then sit in a carpark all day.
It would definitely be better if all of that was done (including the 40K service, new coils and plugs) along with the warranty, but something does not feel right here. When you start trying to fit a square peg in a round hole it may be time to hit the pause button and evaluate other alternatives. I still think that if you hold off and bank some more cash you will find a lot better examples for $6-$10K more. As time goes on, prices come down anyway, so time works in your favor in this. Don't push it.

Agree that something doesn't feel right here.
Not the least of which is this: If you really just had a 40k mile service done (at an authorized dealer), why wouldn't you lead with that in your deal talks with a prospective customer? Hmmm?
Agree as well with the guys who recommend waiting until you're in a slightly better position. Get cash-comfy and go for a slightly newer car. Use the time to gain more knowledge / info and connections. Who knows, you might happen upon a great car of this same vintage, with all the known issues addressed. By then you'll know what the right price should be.
Lastly, just MHO but my radar is on ultra-high gain around dealers like this. No comment on this one personally. But.....
The Porsche branded dealerships are going to get and keep the best maintained / most desirable / rarest stuff for themselves.
The car-freak maintenance guys who rightfully demand a higher than average price will either do a private sale or trade it where they're getting top dollar (usually a P-brand dealership because the car is known).
The off-brand dealers get whatever they can at auction.
Most often it's going to be average-to-below-average stock.
It's a riskier proposition for the buyer.
And the only way to make that work is to get a great PPI, from a 100% trustworthy source, and to know you're getting the right price on the car.
Good luck with the chase. Patience is your friend.

Ok I might have found another one...
This time it is a black 2007 C2S cab. Looks like a really good spec and no silly aerial that has to be removed which is good. Condition in the pictures looks much higher than the last car. I have included a link below so you can take a quick look. Options defiantly look better.
Talked to the dealer and mechanically this car sounds like it is in very good condition. DME report shows that the highest level reached is a 2. So the car has been babied. Warranty for 3 years on this car is also nice chunk cheaper than the last one.
Questions: Exterior colour....Its black which I like however is this actually a metallic black on the car or a flat black? If its flat its enough of a reason for me to pass this one by.
Down sides. I can't see the car in person and having already had one car described to me as being in perfect condition and finding that was a very liberal use of the word am a little apprehensive. I also realize photos don't really mean much as it not always easy to see what is going on. It also means I wont be able to test drive, check for squeaks or other issues on the car.

Does anyone know this car? What do people think on the price?
Thanks again

Doh just talked to the dealer its flat black so back to the search for me. My colour list is Atlas Grey, Bassalt Black, Seal Grey or any of the metallic blue's. So remember to hold me to that....
It's not "flat" black...just black and there are many examples of great black cars. Here's mine:
Thanks for replying...
I think it looks amazing but I was under the impression maybe wrongly that non metallic paints on a car are just a nightmare to live with. More prone to marking due to less top coat and more susceptible to fading. I also just figured they show the dirt a lot more as when they are clean they look like mirrors. Is this wrong? It might have been something I heard from a long like 80s time and in fact today there isn't much difference between a metallic and non metallic paint.
Thanks for your feedback.
