I personally would MAKE SURE with the aid of a sledge hammer that it would be a total loss.

Jeff, didn't you do a series of mods on this car? I don't know if Nationwide does it, but I have heard others sometimes will reimburse things added to the car in the last six months. That may push your insurance reimbursement higher towards a totaled scenario.

Insurance adjusters have seen all the "tricks" including using a ball peen hammer to simulate hail damage.
