Can You Identify this Noise?

I'm cross-posting this from another forum to get some additional views on what might be causing this "chirp," "beep," "whistle" noise when I start my engine cold.

A Porsche service tech checked it out, but said he couldn't pinpoint where it's coming from. He said the usual suspects - belts, pulleys, tensioners, water pump - were all fine. But, I know that you guys often know more than the techs do, so I'm hoping to get some input to point him in the right direction.

Below is a link to a recording of the sound. I recorded two starts. You can hear the sound at between 1-2 seconds, and again at between 6-7 seconds.

Thanks for any help!

Is the radio on? If not....my guess is the instrument cluster. Since you appear to be in the car.....it would try there instead of motor. You said cold startup. Doesn't happen once its at operating temp?
