Yes. These cars are one of the rarer ones. Just remember that Porsche has done some strange things over the years. This 965 flatnose was a combination of parts that Porsche would no longer be using, so some people thought it was a white elephant. i.e. the fenders are 968 type and the "miami vice" slantnose design.

As far as collectable Porsches, many marques have cars that don't have the curb appearance of their price, for example, one of the rarest Ferrari models is the 288 GTO that was prcoduced in to help homologate Ferrari for racing. This bad twin turbo wide body looks dated and like a 308. You'll never imagine that the price tag today is far north of $250K.

I would love to own a 288 GTO, as it is one of my favorites as well. I don't know what i would do with it. Just look at it in the garage, I'd be afraid it would break???
