Dension Gateway 500 Power Source

So i just got my Dension Gateway 500 and Bluetooth Adapter installed in my 997. Everything was working great until i tried to use the radio feature with out the car in Auxiliary. (No power no key feature) The PCM turns on but it says it has an AMP error. So i called the installer (I figured it was worth it just to have some one else do it) and he said it needed to be run through the amp so it "wasn't always on" or he can hook it up to an "always on" power source that they don't recommend. FYI it is mounted in the car. behind the stereo and i don't have a CD changer.

My question is for others who have this unit, What power source did you hook this up to? If you hooked it up through the amp do you have the same problem? Thanks in advanced for any input.

Most people tab the unused CDC power harness if you installed in the front.

If you installed behing the PCM, most people get power from the Fuse box (find one that turn on Only with the key in, on the non-4x4 or targa the C1 and C5 could be use, those are for AWD and Rear wipers). I've seen some people take the power form Behing the lighter plug on the passenger side.

Here is a new thread from someone who tap the unused CDC harness. http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/elec...0-gateway.html
