Dampeners were REUSED. Absolutely whisper quiet brakes, performance is better than stock with the STOPTECH pads (better initial bite). Sensors took of the error message on dash and everything was a perfect fit. Save your $$ over the OEM sensors that run $70/pair.

Total cost of PAD and SENSOR replacement - $95!
Do you not have to turn down rotors when replacing pads?

^ I did not know that! And the rotors are still in good condition given the car has < 30K miles on there. Probably will need to be changed out on next pad change.

They last quite a while. Make sure cracks don't join the drilled holes or reach the outside of the disc. If a lip forms they will start to squeal more. Your mechanic can measure remaining thickness and tell you how it compares to porsche guidelines.

Did your front brake pads create a massive amount of break dust? Mine do and I hate it. Do the stoptech pads have lower amounts of brake dust? Ebay link for pads? I dont have enough posts to pm. frank919@comcast.net

Did not seem to notice a break dust problem with stock pads or aftermarket StopTechs, but that can also be because I have matte black wheels. The performance of the StopTechs is noticeably better though than the OEM pads, and for less than 1/2 the price of OEM, tough deal to beat.

That is a big YES!!!! It sucks pretty bad. Thankfully, I wash my car 1x/week. Get used to it.

I went with OEM via autopartswarehouse. My Textar replacements were $99.95 with free shipping (pads only).

After removing the factory pads I've never put a set of dampers back on the brakes. No noise issues.

I believe you can and it should be the same as resurfacing regular rotors. Most shops won't but a lot could. Napa would do it.

At least, this is my latest info.

Just got back from the dealer a few hours ago. this will be the 2nd set in 15k miles. Quoted: Pads and Rotors (front only) $1545 installed. Now looking for aftermarket.

For your reference, I have been looking at the BeckArnley rotors.

Just the vented cross drilled rotors alone cost an arm and a leg. Of course, one needs to pay the Porsche hourly rate.
