Arrogant of some on this site
Arrogance of some on this site
It's amazing how rude some folks can be on this site at times. I bumped this thread on installing a GT2 front bumper so I can have it on file because I have the factory GT2 front and rear bumper along with sideskirts that I am going to upgrade my 997 C4 Cabriolet with and the information on the thread is valuable to me. For some reason some A$$ felt the need to reduced my rep points and basically told me to go away and tend to my moms muscle cars. What ignorance. I guess based on my signature, which was an attempt at humor. I have owned a Porsche or two every year over the past thirty years, and I am amazed at how folks who are just starting to own them feel like they own the world. A friend of mine who has own Porsches for as long as I have and is an extremely reputable tuner in the area told me to beware of this site because of some of the arrogance, but I paid him no mind, now I know what he is talking about.
Why not enjoy life and spread positive energy versus being spiteful and spreading negative energy!!!

So I wonder how a seasoned "mature" man could let a single negative comment effect you so much. Maybe your friend is correct.
But I'm sure he's happy for two cents worth of psychoanalysis.
So if one person hurts your feelings, you indict the entire site? I'm not sure how you reduce a zero rep status. As one who has been here as long as you, and participated in many intense discussions, I've never felt what you are talking about. You say you've had numerous Porsches for over 30 years which would make you over 50 years old, like me. So I wonder how a seasoned "mature" man could let a single negative comment effect you so much. I'd bet those that left negative rep wouldn't do so if they were forced to disclose who the rep was from.

I would love to know, can you turn that feature on?
Just for clarity my biggest issue was not so much points than the response given with it and trying to figure out why such a response was necessary:
"go away and fix your moms muscle cars"
To me the person was using the rep point "anonymity feature" like a coward and didn't have the ***** or the right to tell me to get off the site. And, the psychoanalysis came in when I try to understand his comment is based off me bumping a discussion that I am very interested in and/or my signature. Its a forum we have the right to speak so I spoke, but not by hiding myself.
But I did make one mistake by condemning the entire forum.
