Options for getting XM/Sirius on 997.2 without factory XM module option

I've read through the search archives on here and rennlist and I know there is a lot of discussion on this but it seems the information has changed. I did find topics about a NAV-TV product for PCM3.0 that added XM radio but it seems the units had bugs, some VINS didn't work at all for some reason and it looks like the company dropped the product. Are there any reliable current OEM or aftermarket options for adding XM/Sirius radio to these cars? I'm in the market for a 2009 997.2 PDK and it pains me when I find a car (and those searching like me know there isn't a lot of inventory out there now) with the right colors and options but misses the XM module. For me it's a must have as it's all I listen to in my cars. I have 8 favorite channels I shuffle through all day. Thanks for any help.

Nav-tv is your best bet, why do you think the product is discontinued ? I don't anything on their website that says that it is.

That's a different kit, doesn't add satellite radio. The satellite radio kit is(was) SIR-PCM3.0 but is no longer for sale.

Oh see, so I believe they just combined their products, the one I linked add an Aux input that you can use for Sat Radio (XM).

No, that kit doesn't integrate with the Sat tuner. I just contacted them, they did remove all sat radio products for the 997.2 w/ PCM 3.0 because of problems. Here is the transcript:

Jason: SIR-PCM3.0Do you still sell this product or another that adds Sirius/XM radio to a 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S?

You are now speaking with Tony Yankovsky of Sales.

Tony Yankovsky: We do, but:
1) The radio has to be qualified.
2) Some of these radios are supposedly compatible, but they still don't work...

I know somebody that had it installed, I am not sure what XM receiver he got, but he used the stereo AUX input and it works pretty well, he got a 2010 C2S with Bose.

I'll post back once i can get in touch with him

Thanks for the help! How does he change the channels though? If it's just the AUX input I would imagine it doesn't integrate with the car's radio display so he must have to change the channels with a different device.

I'm not sure, but I will confirm one I can talk to him, I know the Song, Channels and text info was display on the PCM, but I am not sure about the Controls. As you said since it is just a AUX input, logics says that he may need to manually change the channels on the XM receiver or using a Bluetooth controller, but I'll check.

So here are some pictures from a car off ebay. Looks like a clean professional after-market install under the armrest plugged into the AUX jack, but... Do you have to open the armrest, turn yourself around (all while driving!) every time you want to change the channel? How would anyone be happy with that? Or am i missing something?
