There's a work around that I've found to get the TPMS.
1. Browse for Wheels for the Porsche model you "pretend" to buy.
2. Either you add the wheels and later remove from the cart or
3. IN the details of the Wheel you "pretend" to buy, it has TPMS, add that to the cart and adjust the cart as you like.
4. I usually get a call from Tire Rack verifying the Car Model and year to make sure they are sending the right part
or
5. Call them (Tire Rack).

I only wanted one sensor so I ordered this part
997 606 021 01
1x Porsche 911 Carrera S GT2 Boxster Cayman TPMS Sensor (433 MHz) OEM New

from New-part . com

All depends on your p-car model, though, this is for a 2008 997.1 and it worked

Then I remembered Tire Rack!!! If I had known about OeWheels, I would have bought the four.

Try EBay, I bought a set of 4 for new TechArt rims for $170. Despite being made in China....sync with TPM in as soon as I drove off, no problems after a year, fit like OEM on the rims.

For those that ordered the ITM sensors, did they come with the new valve stems/rebuild kit? Or will I still need to get one of those when I replace them?

Good question.....I guess you would need the receiver installed that gets the signal from the sensors and of course add the sensors. I'm sure the dealer would have to program that function into the car, if it's not already there and all is needed is the sensors and activation.

Maybe someone smarter than I can chime in.

Anything is possible, at a cost. The TPMS sensors for the wheels would be easy but the transceiver in each wheel well would involve more work plus whatever wiring, etc. that would be needed to have the TPMS report to the OBC.

The ITM sensors (all 4) work perfect half a year in on my '06 911.

It is ridiculous that the OEM ones are a throwaway item to the tune of $600 just to replace a 'battery' every few years. Im sure the sensor part works just perfectly fine on that. Plus the $100 or so install for all 4, and them 'dying' came a month after I just swapped over all tires, go figure! Even aftermarket is expensive at $200 for the set, where all that should of really needed replacing is a $2 battery in each sensor.

Maybe a better option would of been to just disable the TPMS once and for all and forget of this expense all together...

FYI... I just wanted to confirm that the set of ITM sensors listed for 2005-2008 Carreras worked on my 2008 Carrera S. I was a little concerned when I looked at the old TPMS sensors and they had the old part number (997.606.021.00) instead of the newer one (997.606.021.01), but they were just installed & worked great.

Now I'm just waiting to see how accurate, reliable & long-lived they are.

Linke for the set I installed:

The price is for 4 sensors or just one?
Do you need to go to Porsche dealer to install the sensor or any shop can do it?
Thanks!

The web site says: "NOTE: Quantity of 1 adds a Set of 4 OEM Replacement 433 MHz TPMS Tire Pressure Sensors to your shopping cart."

That's an amazing price, if they work! Just as an FYI, my local tire shop is giving me the 433MHz sensors at a few dollars less than tirerack. (Of course, these aren't Porsche branded items). But the nice thing is, they include the installation for free, if I buy the tires and sensors from them.

Any shop can do it... As long as you have the correct sensors installed, the TPMS system in your Porsche should pick them up and start reporting pressures.

Anyone try these with a 997 turbo? Looks like the same part number so I'll order a set.
