My CPO was $3000 for 3 years on top of the remaining warranty. No wear and tear items or routine maintenance, but covered everything else. A bargain, IMHO.

good info..thanks.

I guess Porsche changed the policy or it needs to be off lease situation as Dadio mentions.

CPO is 6 years or 100 K miles from first in service date of the car. They will not CPO a car more than 6 years old regardless of mileage. As my car was 4 years from in service date I would have only had 2 years additional. As raspritz had one year of the original warranty left he only got 2 years of additional warranty as well.

That's if the car is under the original warranty when you buy it, For vehicles no longer under the new vehicle limited warranty at the time of used retail delivery, Porsche Approved Certified Pre-owned Limited Warranty coverage extends until the earlier of:
2 years from the date of used retail delivery OR 50,000 miles from the mileage at used retail delivery, but not to exceed a cumulative 100,000 total miles on the vehicle.

I think that's exactly right. The dealer or PCNA still own a leased car so they can just CPO it before selling it as with any other sale. Buying a car that's already been sold only to sell it back again days (or hours) later after it's been CPO'd seems to be what created issues.
