So I was thinking of personalizing my black 4s a bit. My car came with the colored crests on the wheels but I was thinking that the black and silver crests would look better on a black car. I was also thinking of changing the 'Carrera 4s' on the back to either '911' '911 4s' with a red s or simply changing the 's' to a red one. I was also thinking of changing the hood ornament to a black and silver one, but couldn't find one at Suncoast.

What do you guys think? Should I tinker with my baby? This is a current pic.

You've got to compress the size of your pics in order for them to be able to be uploaded. I think the site requires 19.5KB or less.

 

I changed the "S" on my black 4s cab to the Red and love it.

Ahem. Back to our regular programming. I would keep those colored crests on your wheels. They are the real thing and highly sought after by those that don't have them. The black cars wear them well IMO. The red S on back looks good on a black car.

 

Not a fan of changing out the "Carrera 4S" to the 911 s.... I think the Carrera looks so much better. Can t understand the thought process of this change??? IMO.

I had my S changed to Candy Apple Red Metalic. Changed the Carrera 4 to Matte Black. Stands out on a silver car. Won't put an S on a Non S car though. But we still have to be nice about expressing our opinions.

Keep the crest on the wheels though. They look nice on a black car. You can get a silver crest from EBay or Fremont Porsche in California. I believe they sell them. There are others that sell the hood emblem as well. I have a solid black one on my car, but didn't really like the look of it. Went back to OEM.

 

I like the Red S idea, I am thinking of doing the same on my C2S, my car is white. I think it would look great on white or black. I agree I would never put an "S" on a non-S car, but to each their own. To me that is like putting Carrera on the back of a Boxster.

 

Brothers please. Barncobob, i guess what killacam is trying to say is you have a porsche you dont need to put an s when its not suppose to be there having a true carrera is how a porsche should be. killacam just did not use the right words. But of course to each his own if you like, your car, you do. I think its just a general consensus putting a model not your own on a porsche degrades it.
