lowering springs question

I am looking at lowering my 09 base cab and see that there is tech art, eibach and h@r lowering springs. My question is are tech art and eibach the same spring? and which eibach are people using, the sport or pro kit? I have been shopping on the sharkworks site, very pleased, but the springs are $695. If i do a general search both the eibach springs and h@r springs seem to be around $300. And what are the diffrences between eibach and H@R springs.. Just looking for my best deal for lowering the car with a quality product.
thanks guy's
Paul.

I have H&Rs and they are the more aggressive lowering of the set, 1.2". I think the drop is perfect and eliminates the gap.

Do coilovers few thousand but well worth it. My cars been looking like a grass hopper for few years and and i cant wait to lower it just waiting on my funds. But well worth it and beats just springs. Imo forgot to mention the handeling of the car.

I am going the Eibach Pro Kit route. Should have everything installed by mid April.

Spoke to my dealer and he told me that the H&R and Eibach springs come from the same factory, however, H&R does not make a set for my application 06 C2 (I do have H&R sways installed).

I considered coilovers but the price difference (~ $1,500 for the springs installed versus $5,000 for the coilovers ) made it a no brainer.

While I love the look, I have to think you have a challenge negotiating any curbs or dips with that much lowering PLUS a front lip. With mine lowered just over 3/4" using Damptronics, I still had to be very careful to avoid scraping the bottom front bumper, and I didn't have a lip.
This is why I chose Damptronics over springs, as it gave me the opportunity to lower to the level of my choice, and I didn't have to worry about more settlement as springs aged. Plus, the Damptronics provide great handling improvement after a good alignment and corner balance.

Yes, you do. The roads around me are pretty solid and my car is not my DD so its not too much of a concern. Also, the front lip is fairly cheap and easily repairable so I was OK with going aggressive and dealing with the issues.

Going into they city like DC is another issue.

If my car was my DD I would of probably went the coilover route and think twice about how aggressive I set it.

+1 for coilovers as well - more expensive but give you the option to set the height exactly where you want.

Am I not right in thinking H&R make the OE springs for the 997 GT2, GT2 RS and
GT3's??

O6 C2 H&R spring set part number: 29188-1

H&R springs here and I love it. Perfect stance unless you drive it everyday. Traditionally H&R springs are stiffer and lower than Eibach. Eibach ride very OEM but lower.

I just did the H&R springs 2-months ago. No problems, car feels tighter in corners. Excellent look as far as the height. Recommend!!

I agree, it really depends on if your car is a DD or not.

Like I mentioned, it would have impacted my decision.

Thanks for the infomation guy's. My car is not a DD and i do have to say i love the look the H@R spring. What is the space between the top of the tire and the body panel of the car? Has anyone ever had a tire rub on the body? From the pics that were posted the top of the tire sure looks close to the body. Also can you still drive over a speed bump? thanks in advance!

H&R Is the way to go if you want a spring that gives a lowered drop. Both Eibach and H&R are progressive springs, so the quality on both are amazing. If you plan on running 19" Wheels, H&R or Eibach. If you choose 20" we would suggest Eibach.

Both companies make outstanding products. Good Luck on your final decision and let us know if you need a price quote.

Thank you
