Finally went to Pilot Super Sports - superior tire, in every way. Also replaced the centerlock bolts with red anodized ones. Adds a nice accent methinks.

I replaced my centerlocks also with the black one's. The stock centerlocks on the GTS are a faded grey- (Nasty)!!!!! Red looks good also. Are they an anodized red- or a painted red like the calipers?

Have had the tires for about 200 miles. Coming from PZeros and I think they are great. Same grip give or take as the Pirellis but quieter and more comfy.

These are the anodized bolts from Suncoast. Got them on sale a few months ago and just used the new tire oppty to put them on.

I'm also replacing my PZeros with the Pilot Super Sports this coming Monday. Glad to hear your preliminary positive experience with them vs. the Pirellis. (By the way, my local shop was able to offer me the Michelins at a lower cost than tirerack, including the TPMS; what's more, the installation is free if I buy the tires from them).

I have to agree about the red center locks... very nice touch!

About the pilot Pilot Super Sports,... I just had them put on today. I didn't realize the rim protector is so big on these tires.

I just put a few miles on the new 19" tires, and I echo your comments about the comfort of the Michelins. Even inflated to "fully loaded" pressures (36 psi F/44psi R), they are surprisingly more comfortable than the PZeros, inflated to "partially loaded" pressures (33 psi F/39 psi R).

Yeah I agree with that. I can run the Michelins at the correct pressures (for the GTS 34/37) and they are great. With the PZeros, anything over 32/35 led to an incredibly harsh ride.

I think the thicker rim protection is a real feature too. With these low profile tires on 19" rims I need all the help I can get to avoid curbing the wheels!

Ditto on the center locks! So, how much tire noise/chirp or less compared to your prior tires under aggressive turns/driving?

In terms of tire/road noise it depends a lot on the quality of the road. But in general I'd say about 25% quieter than PZeros (which only had 4K miles on them).

Wow, how a small detail can make a big difference in how something looks. Love the look of the wheels!

(P.S. Which part of Hwy 1 in Nor Cal? Lots of awesome driving there...)

It's the stretch between Muir Woods and Olema (past Muir Beach, Stinson Beach, Bolinas, etc) which has been almost completely repaved. It is a phenomenal drive right now, maybe one of the best roads ever...
