Steering wheel thoughts?

Hey guys,
So I'm tired of my stock steering wheel. I've searched through the threads and see some of you have gone with DCT Motorsports steering wheels and others with the Agency Power wheel from Vivid Racing. I'm sure there are other options as well.

What I'm looking for: Thick padding, flat bottom, red ring at the 12 o'clock position.

Ideas? Thoughts?

Thank you

I think your best choice is DCT if you want all those features, especially the flat bottom. I bought one last fall and love it. I expect they could do the red ring too.

Thanks Ken, did you do the extra thick grips? If so do you like em?

Yes, mine came with the "sport" grips. I like them, but wouldn't have a problem without them either. It is the thicker rim that appeals to me the most. And the flat bottom gives the wheel a more up-to-date look.

I have a multifunction wheel that I'm having custom make over.

Similar to this:

But, it's overall diameter is smaller, and there are no finger indentations around 3 and 9 o'clock.

Sort of like this Audi wheel, but for the MF 997 wheel:

I got this from Dallas Custom recently. I know he does the red ring but not sure about flat bottom.

That is who I think I am going to go through if/when the time comes. I am still not sure I want to give up my Heated Wheel.

Going by testimonials here and elsewhere, DCT and Dallas both do great work. My reason for going with Dallas was that he said he builds the wheel in 5 days or less where DCT said it would be a month. I tend to get impatient once I decide on a mod. It's in my head already so it needs to be on the car too.

Be sure to post your results! I have an OEM carbon steering wheel in the marketplace. Great, elegant OEM addition if anyone is interested.

MaCarbon- But I don't recall the flat bottom. Last piece to my puzzle. Just a pain, have to take car in for removal, get a temp wheel to get home,or leave car for 2-weeks. My choice- Extra thick,Red 10mm 12:00 ring,Carbon and leather(No Perferated) Is this worth $3,000.00?????

Love the one on the top - now, it only needs PDK paddles and how about creating a Manetto switch a la Ferrari to control Sport, Sport+, and PASM ???

Now that would be a wheel!!!

MACarbon Wheel

I just had this wheel made from the folks at MACarbon - it does not have the flat bottom, but I love the extra thickness and the carbon is a starting point for other carbon modifications. I like the look of the red ring on the top.

That's ok, However, I do and I was just expressing what I thought would be a great wheel for a PDK car. Please accept my sincere apologies if I offended you. I was just trying to have a nice and friendly coversation about steering wheels.
