Proper frunk closure procedure

I'm still new to my 997 TTS, and still learning about it. This is a silly question, but is there a certain location that I should press down on the frunk door to close it? Once it's let down to the first click, a friend told me to press down on the P crest. It doesn't feel right though, and I'm worried with time it could cause a small dent/bend around the crest from the repeated pressure.

Thanks for any replies.

anyone here that hasn't unlocked their car, got in and tried to start it and SOB if the frunk is open, unbuckle seat belt, get out and go through the whole procedure again.

I've been pushing on the Porsche badge for 7 months now, and I've yet to have any denting or issues. From what I've been told by everyone I've ever known, just push it down with the crest.

Don't press on the crest... Bring the frunk down; don't slam it, then close it gently by applying even pressure below the crest. I use my index finger and thumb, spaced evenly below and to the right and left of the it, near to the edge of the frunk sheet metal. If you have both hands free you can place the fingers of each hand at those two positions. Apply gently pressure until it clicks.

Technically the proper place is about three inches on either side I
Of the crest. I use the crest.

the crest was the proper place to push down until they went to an all aluminum hood. now you need to push down below the crest otherwise you risk denting the aluminum hood which is less rigid than steel
