Proper frunk closure procedure
It is a no brainer. The best place will always be directly on top of where ever the latch sits. This will be the strongest most direct closure/latch point. And thus will avoid possible denting.
Don't press on the crest... Bring the frunk down; don't slam it, then close it gently by applying even pressure below the crest. I use my index finger and thumb, spaced evenly below and to the right and left of the it, near to the edge of the frunk sheet metal. If you have both hands free you can place the fingers of each hand at those two positions. Apply gently pressure until it clicks.
Video shows it all. Never pressed on the crest and used fingers. Prints will be there but im not in the showroom anymore so nobody is that critical. One can always wipe with a towel if bothered by it.
With a film bra on...no prints. I have always pressed just below the crest where the latch is. That spot feels support and not soft when pressed. I try and always press near the edge of the hood where it's the strongest.
6 of one....half a dozen of the other.
It's just like whether or not your wheel badge points to the valve stem!
